Why Scuba Diving?
There are few experiences more awe inspiring and peaceful than diving into the clear blue ocean and exploring spectacular coral reefs and the amazing sea life on offer around the world.

Currently, in India, Scuba Diving is available mainly in the Andamans and the Lakshadweep islands. While these are beautiful, world-class diving destinations, there are many lesser known destinations along the west coast that offer some fantastic diving and snorkeling opportunities. Additionally, India is located very close to some of the world’s most beautiful diving locations such as Indonesia, Thailand, the Maldives, and the Red Sea.

Is diving in a pool fun?
Breathing underwater and floating weightlessly for the first time are experiences you will never forget. Once people try it out, they invariably want to learn more. Besides, a pool is a safe, comfortable environment to experiment and play around with your buoyancy. Plus we have a couple of fun games to play underwater!

Are there any special qualifications or considerations to participate in the class?
No. Generally speaking, anyone in good average health and at least 10 years old can participate.

What''s in a scuba tank? Oxygen?
Recreational divers breathe air, not oxygen. The air in a scuba tank is like the air you''re breathing but is also filtered to remove impurities.

Is scuba diving dangerous?
No, but there are potential hazards, which is why you need proper training and certification.

I need vision correction. Is that a problem?
No. Wearing soft contact lenses shouldn''t be a problem while you dive.

Scuba diving sounds exciting, but I''m not sure if it''s for me. Can I try it without signing up for a course?
Absolutely. The Learn to Dive experience allows you to try scuba in the safe confines of a swimming pool. This usually takes about an hour. If you are hooked by the time you finish, sign up with us for a certification course.
